Environmental Health and Safety Manager

PMG Holding LLCAllentown, PA
Onsite

About The Position

Pavement Maintenance Group (PMG) is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and standardize PMG's safety programs across all locations. This is a hands-on, field-based leadership role for someone who is comfortable operating across manufacturing, distribution, retail, and field environments and can build structure within a growing organization. Reporting to the COO and based in Allentown, PA, this role sits at the intersection of Operations and HR. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a consistent, company-wide EHS program that aligns with how the business operates. This is not a purely administrative safety role. Success requires a strong presence in the field, sound judgment, and the ability to identify risk, ask the right questions, and drive practical solutions. As PMG continues to grow, this role will focus on creating structure, standardizing processes, and improving overall safety performance across all locations.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or safety-related role with progressive responsibility
  • Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations
  • Experience building or improving safety programs in operational environments
  • Exceptional relationship builder with ability to communicate clearly across all levels
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to identify risk and drive root cause resolution
  • Ability to recognize normal vs. abnormal conditions and take appropriate action
  • Comfortable working independently in the field and managing multiple priorities
  • High level of ownership, judgment, and integrity
  • Frequent travel required (up to 35%); must maintain valid driver's license and remain insurable under company policy

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement company-wide EHS programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, and DOT/FMCSA requirements
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments; identify hazards and drive corrective action
  • Lead accident investigation, root cause analysis, and follow-through to resolution
  • Standardize safety policies, procedures, and training across all locations
  • Partner with Operations and HR to ensure consistent execution of safety programs
  • Oversee fleet safety, contractor safety, and environmental compliance requirements
  • Support and guide regional safety committees and local safety ownership
  • Track, analyze, and report EHS metrics to support data-driven decisions
