About The Position

HiFyve is hiring an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager! This is a Full-Time position located in South Los Angeles, CA. The role involves leading and continuously improving EHS programs across manufacturing and distribution operations, serving as the site's EHS subject matter expert. Responsibilities include providing guidance on regulatory compliance, risk management, environmental programs, and injury prevention, as well as developing and implementing initiatives to reduce workplace injuries, incidents, and environmental risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Risk Management, or related field with 6+ years of relevant experience
  • High school diploma/GED with 9+ years of relevant safety, risk management, or environmental experience may be considered
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in EHS, safety, environmental compliance, or risk management
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, RCRA, and applicable environmental and safety regulations
  • Experience conducting EHS audits, inspections, risk assessments, and compliance evaluations
  • Strong understanding of hazard recognition, risk assessment, and injury prevention practices
  • Experience developing and delivering safety and compliance training
  • Ability to communicate complex technical and regulatory information to non-technical audiences
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Srong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to successfully complete a post-offer background check and drug screening

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred
  • Experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, or similar EHS management systems preferred
  • Food and beverage, consumer products, manufacturing, or distribution experience preferred
  • Leadership experience with the ability to influence and develop teams preferred
  • ASP, CSP, or other professional EHS certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and continuously improve Environmental, Health & Safety programs across manufacturing and distribution operations
  • Serve as the site's EHS subject matter expert, providing guidance and leadership on regulatory compliance, risk management, environmental programs, and injury prevention
  • Develop and implement initiatives designed to reduce workplace injuries, incidents, and environmental risks
  • Conduct facility inspections, audits, and compliance assessments to identify gaps and verify program effectiveness
  • Develop corrective action plans and partner with facility leadership to ensure timely resolution of EHS concerns
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, RCRA, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations
  • Manage and support environmental compliance programs and required regulatory documentation
  • Analyze EHS performance metrics and develop action plans to improve safety and environmental performance
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees, supervisors, and leadership
  • Partner with operations, maintenance, HR, legal, and other cross-functional teams on EHS initiatives
  • Support emergency preparedness, crisis management, incident response, and workers' compensation activities
  • Identify opportunities to improve EHS processes through data-driven decision making and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Stay current on regulatory changes and industry best practices and communicate relevant updates to facility leadership
  • Support additional EHS projects and initiatives as assigned
