The EH&S Manager develops, implements, and promotes an accident free, healthy work environment and ensures compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations. You will lead safety at our Walla Walla and Redmond, OR facility. You will also be responsible for project management of Key’s Environmental, Social and Governance surveys and initiatives in addition to environmental safety programs and policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field.
  • Five years of related experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment are basic requirements of this position.
  • Proficient in the use of word processing and spreadsheet software, preferably Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains health and safety policies, procedures, and job safety analyses in compliance with WISHA, OSHA (Federal), Cal-OSHA, and Oregon OSHA regulations.
  • Oversees safety programs including STOP observations, 5S inspections, Safety Committees (WA, OR, CA), and facility inspections; tracks follow-up and corrective actions.
  • Leads accident, injury, and near-miss investigations; prepares and submits required regulatory reports and supports hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations.
  • Manages U.S. workers’ compensation programs and OSHA injury and illness recordkeeping and reporting requirements.
  • Administers company safety training programs, including online course management, vendor training, emergency response training, and creation of monthly toolbox talks.
  • Oversees PPE voucher programs, ensures SDS accessibility, and alerts employees and managers to chemical, environmental, and workplace hazards.
  • Chairs and manages cross-functional committees including ESG, Product Safety and Sanitation, and represents the organization in community and industry safety groups.
  • Ensures environmental compliance by coordinating regulatory testing, monitoring environmental risks, maintaining safety records on compliance platforms, and liaising with regulatory agencies.
