About The Position

The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist is responsible for oversight and implementation of all Environmental, Health, Safety and related regulatory requirements to ensure compliance, identify & resolve program and practice gaps, and reduce risks. This position reports to the Global EHS Manager, is part of the Environmental, Health and Safety team, and is located in Coralville, IA as an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to Drive critical EHS programs focused on air quality, water discharges, waste management, and on-site safety practices and culture to advance and sustain goals. Monitor and maintain EHS performance, including tracking key performance indicators, trends and emerging regulations Lead risk assessments, safety observations, incident investigations, inspections, and corrective actions using DBS problem-solving tools to identify hazards, reduce risk, and strengthen a proactive safety culture. Coordinate and conduct IDT Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Management System program activities such as EHS Program evaluations, compliance audits, corrective action plans facilitating onboarding and ongoing training for associates. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the EHS management system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • At least 2+ years of experience including EHS experience, preferably supporting manufacturing, industrial, or other regulated operations and with a working knowledge of applicable OSHA, EPA, RCRA, and related regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action management to drive risk reduction and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to influence and engage associates and leaders at all levels while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
