About The Position
Novelis is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) intern for its on-site summer 2027 internship at the Uhrichsville, Ohio facility. The internship lasts approximately 12 weeks and provides relevant work and hands-on industry experience. The intern will gain experience with OSHA and EPA regulatory compliance, employee involvement programs, incident reporting and investigation, and document control. The intern reports to the EHS Manager.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in an accredited four-year university.
- Be a junior or senior.
- Be interested in gaining hands-on industry experience before graduation.
- Have effective interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with all levels of the organization.
- Be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
Nice To Haves
- Major in Occupational Safety and Health, Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Work well in a team-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with implementing and administering matters related to plant EHS and Security processes.
- Complete an EHS-related project.
- Assist with employee engagement activities, including the Safety Committee and training.
- Prioritize and maintain EHS-related documentation.
