The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Lead you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Provide technical environment, health and safety support on all aspects of the sites EHS compliance efforts including but not limited to regulatory permits, management of change (MOC), ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and safety. Supporting and communicating with site management, who have accountability for site EHS performance. Developing and delivering EHS training Investigating workplace incidents and completing root cause analyses to determine appropriate corrective actions and conducting assessments of high hazard processes to reduce risk. Involvement in various site wide EHS initiatives and projects designed to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the site’s EHS programs. Responsibilities of this position include that corporate policies, procedures and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties. Safety is a core value at 3M. Requirements

  • High School Diploma and Seven (7) years of EHS experience in manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environment OR Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with hazard and risk assessments in a manufacturing environment
  • Professional certifications(s) such as Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and/or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or willingness to obtain
  • Experience implementing comprehensive EHS management systems
  • Experience with state and federal regulations including (e.g, OSHA, EPA, etc)
  • Self-directed, detail oriented, good interpersonal, communication, prioritization and organizational skills
