About The Position

The EH&S (Environment, Health and Safety) Compliance Administrator is responsible for ensuring that an organization operates safely, securely, and in compliance with laws and standards, while minimizing risks to people, assets, and the environment.

Requirements

Associate Degree in Safety Management preferred or equivalent experience
2-3 years of experience in HSSE roles
Experience with OSHA, SPCC, 300/300A, EPA compliance, Evac logs, etc.
Knowledge of regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA)
Analytical, communication, and report-writing skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
Proficiency in investigation tools and software
Ability to simplify complex concepts and drive projects with a proactive attitude
Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Responsibilities

Support agency and OSHA visits, monitor violations and prepare responses and reports
Work with HR on end of year reporting on 300 and 300A reports
Work with policy committee on health policies and procedures, occupational health programs, health regulations and standards
Manage safety management systems, root cause review, safety culture, and MSDS data sheets
Manage waste, emissions, spills and EPA issues, and SPCC plans for each location
Develop Emergency Response Planning, contingency and crisis management plans
Provide policy recommendations to COO/VP of HR and guidance to JLAF Committee
Conduct LOD1 Audits
Identify trends in HSSE performance and communicate those trends either through informal means or if needed through LFIs, notices, or training
Prepare details on Recordables to report to Leadership Team and CEO
Diagnose and identify pro-active steps to avoid recurring issues
Maintain incident databases and track trends to inform proactive safety strategies
