The Environmental Graphics Designer coordinates and creates a variety of graphic design work, participating in the process to determine visual design needs and executing projects from concept to final production for print, web, or digital applications. Projects may include events, presentations, promotional products, signage, three-dimensional installations, publications, and advertising. This role is vital in developing and maintaining a cohesive visual identity aligned with Emory's mission, vision, values, and strategic framework. The designer collaborates with creative leadership, copywriters, other designers, photographers, videographers, strategists, freelance artists, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables meet creative briefs and align with Emory's business and brand goals. The position involves contributing to the design and execution of high-quality artwork in partnership with project managers and experts across various disciplines, as well as participating in team brainstorms and presentations. The role operates in a collaborative and creative environment, fostering continuous improvement. Responsibilities also include providing clear communication and rationale for creative vision, following workflow processes, leveraging project management systems, keeping stakeholders informed, and potentially leading production for print projects including vendor selection, spec sheets, estimations, proofing, and press checks. The designer manages vendor relationships for quality, accuracy, and brand consistency, stays updated on industry trends, and builds relationships with colleagues to recommend creative solutions.
