About The Position

We have an immediate need within our Environmental Division to hire a full-time Environmental Geologist/ Scientist with 0 to 2 years’ experience in the Due Diligence, Investigation and Remediation Group, based out of our Ballston Spa, NY office. This group provides a full range of environmental services from initial due diligence and site assessment/investigation through remediation and site closure at a variety of project sites. Requirements

  • B.S in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 0 to 2 years of relevant professional experience
  • Professional interest in environmental investigation and remediation
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and within a dynamic team environment
  • Strong communication skills and responsiveness required
  • MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) experience required
  • Must have reliable personal transportation
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs over short distances

Nice To Haves

  • ArcGIS and/or AutoCad experience a plus
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform various tasks including field work in all weather conditions
  • Environmental construction monitoring
  • Environmental sampling
  • Drilling supervision
  • Data review and tabulation
  • Support of report and work plan preparations
  • Work closely with project managers, scientists/engineers and other field staff to ensure technical responsibilities are satisfactorily fulfilled
  • Adjust to the dynamic schedule and scope of the wide range of projects this position supports
  • Environmental construction monitoring
  • Field activity supervision
  • Air, soil, sediment, and groundwater sampling
  • Drilling supervision/soil classification and logging
  • Use of environmental monitoring equipment
  • Data tabulation and limited report preparation tasks
  • Daily field documentation to ensure compliance with project plans
  • Ensure accurate collection and transfer of data
  • Adherence to Health and Safety Program
