Environmental Field Technician or Junior Geologist will support environmental assessment and compliance projects. The ideal candidate will have prior field experience in environmental consulting, conduction Phase I ESAs and be familiar with the regulatory environment and project demands.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field
  • 2 + years of environmental field experience in environmental consulting or related work
  • Experience with soil and groundwater sampling, monitoring well installation/oversite, and field documentation
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to travel locally to project sites and perform outdoor field work
  • Valid Driver's license and the ability to pass background, drug and MVR screenings

  • Certified Environmental Professional
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZPOWER certification (or the ability to obtain it)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental field activities including soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling.
  • Perform site inspections and environmental monitoring in support of environmental assessment and remediation projects.
  • Support Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
  • Document field activities and maintain accurate field notes of chain of custody documentation.
  • Coordinate with project managers and technical staff to ensure field tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Interface with contractors, laboratories, and clients as needed.
