About The Position

PROtect, LLC is hiring motivated individuals to start a career in environmental compliance and emissions monitoring, with no prior LDAR experience required. As an Environmental Field Technician (Apprentice), you will receive paid, hands-on training while working alongside experienced technicians at an industrial site. You will learn how to detect emissions, use specialized equipment, and help major facilities stay compliant with environmental regulations. This is a hands-on career opportunity with training and growth potential.

Requirements

• 18+ years old with a high school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Comfortable working outdoors and in industrial environments
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, or similar)

Nice To Haves

• Any field, labor, or industrial experience
• Environmental or mechanical interest
• Experience with tools, equipment, or data entry

Responsibilities

• Learn to monitor equipment using EPA Method 21
• Inspect valves, pumps, and components for emissions leaks
• Tag leaks and support repair tracking
• Complete assigned monitoring routes within required timelines
• Use portable analyzers and electronic data collection devices
• Calibrate equipment and make minor adjustments
• Upload daily data and assist with emissions reporting
• Work closely with plant operations and site leadership
• Communicate daily findings and potential issues
• Support overall site compliance and performance
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE (including respirators)
• Report hazards, near misses, and incidents
• Build strong safety habits from day one
