As we continue to grow, we are looking for a passionate and talented Environmental Field Team Leader – Vegetation and Wetlands to work with our environment team on exciting infrastructure projects across Canada. One key project you will work on is the Alto high-speed rail project, connecting Québec City to Toronto, as an experienced partner within the Cadence consortium. This consortium—comprising CDPQ Infra, AtkinsRéalis, SYSTRA Canada, Keolis Canada, Air Canada, and SNCF Voyageurs—was selected by the Canadian government to develop the project following a rigorous bidding process. Thanks to our expertise, we will ensure optimal performance and seamless service within a modern rail network. Here’s your opportunity to help shape the future of high-speed rail in Canada! Your role To plan, organize, and assign daily tasks to field team members while ensuring all required equipment, materials, and permits are ready for deployment. To actively participate in field surveys and sampling, applying standardized engineering methodologies consistently across all data collection activities. To validate, review, and secure data by checking accuracy and completeness, implementing daily backup procedures, and maintaining compliance with project‑specific requirements. To monitor field performance and protocol adherence, ensuring procedures, quality standards, and engineering best practices are followed at all times. To provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members, fostering a positive, collaborative, and resilient work environment during long hours, repetitive tasks, or remote field conditions. To implement and enforce health and safety plans, conduct daily safety briefings, perform hazard assessments, and promote a strong safety culture in the field. To communicate progress, risks, and recommendations to project managers, prepare concise summary notes, and contribute to technical engineering reports as required.
