About The Position

Woodard & Curran is seeking motivated environmental engineering/science interns to join their expert teams in Butte and Anaconda offices. Interns will shadow experienced engineers/scientists and participate as members of project teams, contributing to actual project design or field oversight. This internship offers an exceptional opportunity to apply classroom learning through experience-based learning. The position will focus on field services and support, including environmental field monitoring and sampling of soils, groundwater, and surface water, assisting in data compilations and evaluations, data collection, and reporting. Interns will also assist office and project personnel in preparing reports and submittals. This is an excellent experience for individuals looking to begin their career in the environmental industry. Requirements

  • Second or third-year Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Sciences student
  • Classes taken should include a mix of the following: Surface Water Hydrology, Wastewater Treatment, Stormwater Design and hydraulics, Soils, Fluid Mechanics, Water Quality Chemistry, Groundwater Geology, Environmental Geochemistry, ArcGIS, and Computer Aided Design & Drafting (CADD)
  • Interest in site/civil engineering design, groundwater collection and treatment, site remediation, and compliance
  • Eligible to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in CADD and/or ArcGIS
  • Completion of OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPPER certification course
  • Prior field experience
