About The Position

Pine Environmental Services is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and mechanically inclined Environmental Equipment Technician to join our growing team. In this hands-on technical role, you will inspect, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide variety of environmental testing and monitoring equipment. You will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive dependable, accurately calibrated equipment that meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, working with precision equipment, and delivering exceptional customer service.

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical school, trade school, or apprenticeship training.
  • Previous experience servicing, calibrating, repairing, or maintaining environmental, industrial, or electronic equipment.
  • Experience working directly with customers in a technical support environment.
  • Experience using hand tools, electrical testing equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
  • Working knowledge of applicable workplace safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Test, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain environmental monitoring equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure equipment is fully operational before customer delivery.
  • Prepare rental equipment with all required accessories, calibration certificates, operating instructions, and supporting documentation.
  • Inspect returned equipment and verify that all equipment and accessories have been returned.
  • Assign equipment status and maintain accurate asset labeling.
  • Maintain detailed service, calibration, repair, inspection, and maintenance records.
  • Perform and document electrical safety inspections.
  • Maintain inventory levels for replacement parts, accessories, consumables, and ancillary rental equipment.
  • Maintain and update the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Chemical Register and review newly issued SDS documentation.
  • Assist with maintaining technical manuals, software libraries, and equipment documentation.
  • Provide technical support to customers, including troubleshooting, product guidance, and basic operational training.
  • Support branch operations and assist team members as business needs require.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company policies and safety procedures.
  • Participate in after-hours, weekend, holiday, and emergency service when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
