About The Position
Pine Environmental Services is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and mechanically inclined Environmental Equipment Technician to join our growing team. In this hands-on technical role, you will inspect, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide variety of environmental testing and monitoring equipment. You will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive dependable, accurately calibrated equipment that meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance. - High School Diploma or GED.
Nice To Haves
- Technical school, trade school, or apprenticeship training.
- Previous experience servicing, calibrating, repairing, or maintaining environmental, industrial, or electronic equipment.
- Experience working directly with customers in a technical support environment.
- Experience using hand tools, electrical testing equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
- Working knowledge of applicable workplace safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Test, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain environmental monitoring equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
- Perform quality inspections to ensure equipment is fully operational before customer delivery.
- Prepare rental equipment with all required accessories, calibration certificates, operating instructions, and supporting documentation.
- Inspect returned equipment and verify that all equipment and accessories have been returned.
- Assign equipment status and maintain accurate asset labeling.
- Maintain detailed service, calibration, repair, inspection, and maintenance records.
- Perform and document electrical safety inspections.
- Maintain inventory levels for replacement parts, accessories, consumables, and ancillary rental equipment.
- Maintain and update the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Chemical Register and review newly issued SDS documentation.
- Assist with maintaining technical manuals, software libraries, and equipment documentation.
- Provide technical support to customers, including troubleshooting, product guidance, and basic operational training.
- Support branch operations and assist team members as business needs require.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company policies and safety procedures.
- Participate in after-hours, weekend, holiday, and emergency service when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
