About The Position

Freeport-McMoRan is hiring a temporary, full-time paid Environmental Engineering/Science intern for its 2027 summer internship program. The internship usually runs from May through August and is intended for full-time students enrolled at an accredited four-year university or recent graduates in North America. The role is under general supervision and provides technical support and guidance for environmental projects and programs at an assigned site. The internship is hybrid, with virtual work and regular in-person collaboration at the New Orleans Collaboration Hub and/or site locations. The role also offers hands-on experience, exposure to business operations across North American sites, opportunities to build technical and analytical skills, and mentorship and professional development.
