About The Position

Environmental Engineers manage compliance with EPA, state, and local regulations covering air, water, waste, and emissions. They oversee monitoring programs, environmental reporting, and audits, while supporting permitting and sustainability initiatives. The role drives continuous improvement in environmental performance and risk management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Majors in environmental engineering, environmental science, Water & Wastewater Treatment, Waste management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world production
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and best practices.
  • Energy auditing and statistical processing skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Environmental Manager (CEM) certification
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification
  • Experience in environmental compliance in a manufacturing or other industrial environment
  • Experience with environmental management systems (ISO 14001)
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of environmental regulations (air, water, hazardous waste)

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company's environmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular environmental risk assessments, identify potential environmental impacts, and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Support the development and operation of the Environmental Management System (EMS).
