Environmental Engineer
About The Position
SC&A is seeking an environmental engineer to work on remediation projects, provide policy support on RCRA and other environmental laws and associated regulations, and perform evaluations of waste treatment, storage, and disposal facilities. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, is a Professional Engineer. We are looking for candidates with 6-15 years of experience. We are also seeking someone who is interested in obtaining ownership in the company. While the preferred location for the candidate is the Washington, DC area, qualified candidates will be considered throughout the US. SC&A is an employee-owned company with headquarters in Arlington, VA and offices in Chapel Hill, NC and Germantown, MD. The company provides environmental consulting services to the federal government, other government agencies, and commercial clients. Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering
- Professional Engineer
- 6-15 years of experience
- Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Ability to handle information confidentially
- US Citizen

Responsibilities
- Work on remediation projects
- Provide policy support on RCRA and other environmental laws and associated regulations
- Perform evaluations of waste treatment, storage, and disposal facilities
- Participate in site visits, data collection, and investigations regarding environmental topics
- Review technical/program documents and applications
- Perform environmental calculations based on provided methodologies
- Communicate with regulators on compliance issues
- Lead/prepare proposals
- Assist in preparing environmental guidance documents
- Interact with clients
