Terracon is seeking a dynamic environmental department leader for its local office due to significant growth. This role involves leading and expanding the environmental business line for the area. The department offers three distinct service lines: Site Assessment/Remediation, Ecology, and Cultural Resources. Projects include wetland permitting/delineation, threatened & endangered species surveys, cultural resource studies, industrial hygiene, environmental site assessment, remediation, redevelopment, and site renovation work for various public and private sector clients. The position requires a strong understanding of Texas regulatory programs (TCEQ, RRC, TRRP) and federal regulations (RCRA, CERCLA, CWA, CAA, TSCA). The successful candidate will manage a department of 10-15 employees with annual revenues exceeding $4.0 million, overseeing project planning, scheduling, site testing, analytical testing plans, and design recommendations. This career-level management professional must possess strong operational management and leadership skills, identify and evaluate risks, and ensure compliance with all regulations. The role includes developing and executing a formal growth plan, promoting training, and coordinating staff workload, with a paramount focus on safety. Terracon is an employee-owned organization.
