The Environmental Compliance Specialist III will ensure compliance at hazardous materials transportation facilities and during en-route shipments with Maryland State regulations and federal requirements. The incumbent will also provide emergency response, professional technical assistance, and oversight for the mitigation of transportation-related incidents involving the release or threatened release of regulated hazardous materials and substances. This position will be primarily based in North East Maryland and Upper Eastern Shore. Counties include Harford, Cecil, Kent, and Queen Anne's. Main reporting locations will be on highway shoulders, public roadways, and MSP and MDTA Weight and Inspection Facilities.
