This role is responsible for creating, preparing, and presenting safety-related reports and instructional materials. The specialist will disseminate safety information, develop surveys to identify hazards, investigate safety issues, and assist in implementing corrective actions. They will analyze safety data, research federal, state, and local regulations (including The Joint Commission, OSHA, and EPA), and support the development of compliance programs and policies. The position also involves improving safety programs, coordinating safety committees, and providing assistance with Environmental Health & Safety compliance. A key part of the role includes designing and implementing databases for monitoring, trending, tracking, and auditing safety data, as well as maintaining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and developing templates for risk assessments and surveys. Management of department SharePoint sites and internal intranet documents is also required. This is a full-time position requiring travel between hospital facilities.
