About The Position

Dominion Energy South Carolina is seeking an Environmental Compliance Coordinator (ECC) or Senior Environmental Compliance Coordinator (Senior ECC) to join their team. One position is available and will be filled at either the ECC or Senior ECC level based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. This role supports environmental compliance programs at multiple Dominion Energy South Carolina (DESC) power generating stations and other electric operations facilities. Core responsibilities include conducting or supporting day-to-day compliance activities related to waste, water, wastewater, and emergency response. This position participates in a rotating call-out schedule to support plant outages, spill response, and severe weather events. The role also requires occasional after-hours, weekend, and holiday work in outdoor and industrial environments, including during inclement weather. Occasional overnight travel within South Carolina may be required.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of related environmental regulations and applicable environmental requirements
  • Ability to develop, implement and administer complex environmental compliance plans
  • Ability to interpret and/or apply environmental requirements to company operations and translate regulatory regulations, permit and plan requirements into understandable compliance guidance
  • Ability to prepare and/or review compliance and regulatory documents and reports
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Analytical and record keeping skills
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel and Power Point)
  • Organizational skills and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in field environment

Responsibilities

  • Support the business unit’s compliance obligations related to wastewater, drinking water, hazardous waste, non-hazardous waste, PCBs, and emergency response.
  • Create, review, and maintain environmental monitoring, reporting, and recordkeeping documentation, and prepare internal and regulatory-required submittals.
  • Review and provide input on proposed local, state, and federal regulations and permits.
  • Assist with and actively participate in the response, reporting, investigation, and communication of findings for environmental incidents, including root cause analysis.
  • Conduct internal environmental assessments and support internal and regulatory audits of facilities.
  • Perform field sampling, including individual grab and composite samples, and gather, compile, analyze, and report data for projects across electric operations.
