Join Virginia Cooperative Extension – Prince William as our Environmental and Natural Resources Educator. This position supports the Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) program and advances the County’s environmental goals through education, outreach, and stewardship. As an Education and Outreach Specialist, you will lead the BEST Lawns/Urban Nutrient Management Plan (UNMP) program, including participant recruitment, site visits, plan development, and volunteer training. You will also lead the annual well water sampling program, collaborate with the Master Gardener Coordinator to train, schedule, and evaluate volunteers, and design and deliver educational programs on agriculture, natural resources, and environmental topics for youth, adults, and local government staff. Additionally, you will support school and community gardens and stormwater education events, respond to public inquiries on horticulture, native/invasive plants, wildlife conflicts, and sustainable practices, and contribute to outreach strategy, digital resource development, and grant-supported programming.
