The Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) seeks to protect, preserve, and enhance Massachusetts’ environmental resources and create a clean energy future for all residents. The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) is the state agency responsible for ensuring clean air, land, and water. MassDEP is the lead agency for safe management of toxics and hazardous materials, promotion of waste reduction and recycling, preservation of the state's wetlands and coastal resources, air quality monitoring and pollution reduction, and so much more. MassDEP seeks applicants for the position of Environmental Analyst III (EAIII) within the Bureau of Air and Waste (BAW), Compliance and Enforcement Section (C&E), at MassDEP’s Northeast Regional Office, located in Woburn, MA. This position will report to the Section Chief of the Compliance & Enforcement Section, or his designee. The C&E Section is primarily responsible for compliance and enforcement activities concerning Northeastern Massachusetts entities that are regulated by or subject to the requirements of various environmental statutes and regulations, including air pollution control, hazardous waste, industrial wastewater, toxics use reduction, and underground storage tank regulations.
