About The Position

This position supports PSCo’s water permitting and compliance programs, including SPCC, construction dewatering, hydrostatic testing wastewater, waste and drinking water, DMR preparation and submission, and broader water-program regulatory development and implementation. The successful candidate will be placed at the Environmental Analyst III or IV level based on skills and experience; requirements differ by level. The Environmental Analyst designs, implements, and administers environmental studies and compliance programs and secures and renews permits and licenses. The position applies broad knowledge of environmental principles and related disciplines to difficult assignments, works under minimal supervision, and has latitude to act on matters that are not routine. The analyst may participate in special work teams, coordinate or advise on small projects, and may receive assistance from Environmental Analyst I and II personnel. The role develops environmental procedures and programs to support compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, permits, and licenses. It also conducts studies, monitoring, research, reviews, inspections, and site assessments; prepares technical reports and permit applications; provides compliance guidance and training; and supports budgets, regulatory changes, and emergency incidents as requested. Xcel Energy supports a hybrid work model. Many roles are expected onsite three days per week, Tuesday through Thursday, but expectations vary by role, team, and business needs.
