About The Position

The Environment Team Member is responsible for maintaining a high standard of the overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness and recovery standards, to deliver Brand Promises. This role involves delivering friendly customer service, assisting customers in finding products, and performing cleaning duties. The team member will collect and dispose of trash, dust and damp mop floors, move equipment and products for cleaning, and clean assigned areas using specified materials and equipment. This may involve mixing cleaning solutions. The role includes deep cleaning of high-traffic areas like bathrooms and breakrooms to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers and staff. The team member must maintain cleaning equipment, notify supervisors of supply needs, and proactively identify areas requiring cleaning. All tasks must be completed in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines, and performed with positive and respectful interactions. The role also involves projecting a positive image and serving as a role model. Additional duties may include providing a fast and friendly checkout experience, executing cash handling, engaging customers in the Rewards program, assisting with Omni channel processes (BOPIS, SFS), participating in truck un-loads, stocking, and planogram processes, and supporting shrink and safety programs. Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs is required for compliance.

Requirements

  • Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
  • Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain store cleanliness and recovery standards.
  • Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers.
  • Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
  • Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
  • Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in correct placement.
  • Clean assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
  • Deep clean key areas of the store including bathrooms, breakrooms, entry ways and other high traffic areas.
  • Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly and notify supervisor of supply needs.
  • Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the task.
  • Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
  • Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
  • Project a positive image and serve as a role model.
  • Provide a fast and friendly check out experience.
  • Execute cash handling to standards.
  • Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
  • Participate in the truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
  • Support shrink and safety programs.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
