We're looking for an experienced Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Site Manager to lead the safety and environmental programs at our Brookfield, Connecticut manufacturing facility. This is an opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys partnering with operations, influencing culture, and driving continuous improvement across a complex manufacturing environment. As a member of the site leadership team, you'll play a critical role in protecting our people, ensuring regulatory compliance, and advancing a proactive safety culture that supports operational excellence. About the Brookfield Site Our Brookfield facility manufactures specialty chemical ingredients used in pharmaceutical excipients, food flavors, beverages, and industrial alcohol blends. The site plays an important role in supporting customers across multiple industries and is an integral part of Greenfield Global's manufacturing network.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Sciences, or a related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
Experience leading EHS programs within a manufacturing, chemical, industrial, or highly regulated environment.
Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental compliance requirements.
Experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action planning.
Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and build strong relationships across all levels of an organization.
Strong communication, presentation, and training facilitation skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and regulatory compliance.
A collaborative leadership style with a passion for creating safe, high-performing workplaces.

Nice To Haves

Experience within chemical manufacturing, specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food manufacturing, or other process-based industries.
Exposure to Process Safety Management (PSM) programs.
Experience supporting industrial hygiene initiatives.
Familiarity with EHS management systems, reporting tools, and compliance software.

Responsibilities

Lead all site environmental, health, safety, and industrial hygiene programs.
Serve as the site's primary EHS subject matter expert and trusted advisor to site leadership.
Develop and advance a strong safety culture through coaching, training, employee engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action programs.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA requirements.
Manage regulatory inspections, audits, permits, reporting requirements, and agency interactions.
Oversee hazardous waste management and environmental compliance programs.
Support Process Safety Management (PSM), Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), and risk reduction initiatives.
Lead contractor safety programs and ensure safe execution of non-routine work.
Maintain and improve site emergency preparedness and response programs.
Monitor EHS performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve safety outcomes and operational performance.
Partner closely with leaders and employees across the site to promote accountability, engagement, and best practices.
