About The Position

Howmet Aerospace is recruiting EHS Professionals for its EHS Professional Development Program. The program provides challenging, professional-level EHS assignments for recent or upcoming graduates in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Fire Protection, or Environmental Science. Participants serve in a developmental role at a designated U.S. location and work with a mentor for 12–18 months, learning Howmet’s EHS Management Systems and culture and gaining experience supporting EHS success at a Howmet location. The program is intended to prepare participants for an EHS role at one of the company’s operating locations after completion. The role requires openness and ability to relocate for program entry and relocation upon program completion. Relocation assistance is provided. Expected travel is less than 5%.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Environmental, Health, Safety, or Fire Protection Engineering.
Must meet U.S. person status requirements under ITAR; the posting defines this as a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility will be verified at hire.
Visa sponsorship is not available.
Ability and openness to relocate for entry into the program and upon its completion in 12–18 months.

Responsibilities

Assist with developing and implementing EHS policies and procedures, focusing on prevention, risk reduction, industrial hygiene, fire protection, and environmental compliance.
Conduct and complete assessments, develop procedures, and conduct training.
Conduct, document, and resolve EHS self-assessments.
Learn Howmet EHS Management Systems.
