About The Position

The EHS Engineer provides environment, health, and safety support to Corporate team operations and manages regulatory compliance obligations at Apple-owned and operated facilities in Santa Clara Valley (SCV). The role supports research and development, services, projects, maintenance, and other Corporate operations, with a focus on delivering a high level of service and improving EHS performance.

The position involves implementing and maintaining EHS programs, assessing safety risks, reviewing chemicals, inspecting buildings and labs, investigating incidents, supporting facility upgrades and construction projects, and providing emergency response. The EHS Engineer reports to the SCV EHS Operations Manager.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of EHS operations experience.
• BA/BS degree in a physical science or an EHS-based field.
• Excellent organizational skills and effective communication across technical disciplines.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality results on time, take ownership of issues and tasks with appropriate urgency, and make difficult decisions when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide EHS support to Corporate team operations in Santa Clara Valley.
• Manage regulatory compliance obligations in Apple-owned and operated facilities.
• Facilitate safety risk assessments and perform chemical reviews.
• Participate in facility upgrade projects and provide EHS support for facility and lab construction projects.
• Implement and maintain EHS programs.
• Perform building and laboratory inspections.
• Conduct accident and incident investigations and follow-up.
• Provide emergency response.
