About The Position

Under the direction of the Director of Facility Services and/or his or her designee, the Environmental Services Aide is responsible for performing cleaning of patient and non-patient care areas throughout the facility to ensure that they are in a high state of cleanliness at all times. In addition to this, some duties include floor care and medical and non-medical waste disposal. To perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School graduate or GED required.
• Ability to read written instructions.
• Ability to comprehend verbal instructions given in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Nice To Haves

• One year of housekeeping experience.
• One year of hospital-based housekeeping.
• Certificate in a recognized housekeeping or floor care program.

Responsibilities

• Performing cleaning of patient and non-patient care areas throughout the facility.
• Ensuring that all areas are maintained in a high state of cleanliness at all times.
