About The Position

Performs routine and project-based cleaning and trash removal throughout all areas of the hospital, including carpet and hard-surface maintenance. Maintains equipment in clean, working condition and demonstrates knowledge of the proper use of chemicals and other supplies. Moves furniture and equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers and shampooers, and housekeeping carts. The position involves exposure to various chemicals. Communicates and interacts appropriately with patients, families, and visitors of all age groups, while remaining sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of previous work experience preferred.
• Previous housekeeping or healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and adapt to disruptions in workflow.
• Ability to receive and precisely follow verbal and written instructions.
• Demonstrates cooperativeness, good judgment, and initiative.
• Ability to relate well to other people and work without close supervision.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of the proper use of chemicals and other supplies.

Nice To Haves
