About The Position

Responsible for assisting in the setup, production, quality checks and operation of envelope machines.

Requirements

• Mechanical knowledge / aptitude is required for this position.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools
• Positive attitude and aptitude in learning and retaining knowledge that is trained
• Ability to assist in performing minor machine repairs and PMs.
• Ability to apply written instructions to machine operation and product quality
• Good math skills
• Reliability through attendance, punctuality and attention to work station
• Demonstrates positive safety attitude

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup on machines in a timely manner. Clean machine prior to setups and during downtime.
• Assist the adjuster during downtime to help minimize downtime. This is performed after housekeeping has been done.
• Perform quality checks per our SOP and work instructions to ensure dimensions and overall quality of piece is maintained during the production run.
• Hand-gather finished work and pack as necessary.
• Perform other department operations as required.
• Keep immediate work area neat and orderly.
• Comply with company rules and regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data.
• Implement a commitment to quality philosophy and recommend methods and procedures to reduce cost and/or improve operating efficiency of the department.
• Keep manager/supervisor informed of activities and situations that will impact the achievement of corporate or department goals and objectives.
• Perform other related duties as required to achieve the goals and objectives of the department and company.
