About The Position

Under general supervision, the Machine Operator fulfills several different operator roles. Position placement is determined based on the needs of the business. Machine Operator II (Entry Operator) will be responsible for operating the entry end of the coating line. Duties include but are not limited to loading up and removing coils, taking coil measurements (gauge and width), inspecting the condition of coils prior to sending to the line, following direction on the flow of material from QC Lab Tech and/or Paint Line Team Leader, entering coil information into Oracle, calculating coil length requirements, allocate raw coils to a production schedule and coordinating with other team members to maintain production quality and efficiency.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
Knowledge of basic hand and power tools
Basic computer skills
Time Management – prioritizing work to meet internal and/or external customer demands
Detail Oriented – ensures accuracy of product and documentation to meet internal and/or external customer demands
Good communication skills

Nice To Haves

6+ months of experience operating mobile equipment in a manufacturing environment
Mobile equipment operations skills

Responsibilities
