About The Position

This role involves performing various tasks on the 2nd shift (3pm - 11pm) in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include checking for count accuracy, quality issues, and conformance to specifications. The position requires measuring finished sheet, inserting load tags, operating a count station and load tag printer, and preparing units for strapping. The operator must also be proficient in using a tape measure and utility knife, maintain a clean work area, and follow safety procedures like lock-out/tag-out. The role also involves counting and stacking finished product and reading orders.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, and speak English
Ability to read a measuring tape and ruler
Ability to count and stack finished product
Warehouse and/or manufacturing experience
Stable and verifiable work history

Responsibilities

Check for count accuracy and conformance to specification
Double check for quality issues, communicating them to control room operator or wet end operator
Measure finished sheet for accuracy
Insert proper load tags into finished “measured” units
Check for unit appearance
Operate count station and load tag printer
Restack non-conforming units
Hand-flip bundles when warped, or otherwise required
Properly document non-conforming materials onto disposition sheet
Determine whether order is complete or partial
Wear all required personal protective equipment
Be proficient in using/reading tape measure and safe use of utility knife
Keep work areas clean and free of debris, including keeping floor clean of sheets
Safely lift/move up to 50lbs during regular work shift
Follow lock-out / tag-out procedures
Prepare and set in place the “Top” dunnage for unit strapping
Counting and stacking finished product
Reading orders
