Entry Manufacturer Laborer - 2nd Shift
About The Position
This role is for an Entry Manufacturing Laborer on the 2nd shift. The position involves checking for count accuracy and conformance to specifications, double-checking for quality issues and communicating them, measuring finished sheets, inserting load tags, checking unit appearance, operating a count station and load tag printer, restacking non-conforming units, hand-flipping bundles, documenting non-conforming materials, determining order completeness, wearing required personal protective equipment, using a tape measure and utility knife safely, keeping work areas clean, safely lifting/moving up to 50lbs, following lock-out/tag-out procedures, preparing dunnage for strapping, counting and stacking finished product, and reading orders.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to read a measuring tape and ruler
- Warehouse and/or manufacturing experience
- Stable and verifiable work history
Responsibilities
- Check for count accuracy and conformance to specification
- Double check for quality issues, communicating them to control room operator or wet end operator
- Measure finished sheet for accuracy
- Insert Proper load tags into finished “measured” units
- Check unit for appearance
- Operate count station and load tag printer
- Restack non-conforming units
- Hand-flip bundles when warped, or otherwise required
- Properly document non-conforming materials onto disposition sheet
- Determine whether order is complete or partial
- Operator must wear all required personal protective equipment
- Operator must be proficient in using/reading tape measure and safe use of utility knife
- Operator must keep work areas clean and free of debris, including keeping floor clean of sheets
- Operator must be able to safely lift/move up to 50lbs during regular work shift
- Operator must follow lock-out/ tag-out procedures
- Prepare and set in place the “Top” dunnage for unit strapping
- Counting and stacking finished product
