About The Position

The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for an Entry Level Systems Engineering Engineer to join the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization supporting the Executive Fleet Team in San Antonio, TX. BDS is a global leader in the development, production, maintenance and enhancement of fixed-wing and rotary wing aircraft, commercial and government satellites, human spaceflight programs and weapons. Key markets include aeronautics, space and weapons. Core capabilities are in development, production and mission enabling upgrades of integrated solutions. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams at multiple organizational levels in dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Critical thinking skills; ability to work in agile, flexible team environment
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
  • An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to assist with analyses, design, development and verification of a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
  • Assists with analyses to evaluates customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
  • Assists with various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
  • Assists with analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, and peers
  • Conducts assessments of processes and practices to standards and criteria
  • Assists in development of strategies, plans and metrics to accomplish company initiatives
  • Develops solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation
