About The Position

This is an entry-level position responsible for creating and developing quality package designs, specifications, and prototypes to assist Account Managers in sales promotions. The role involves investigating and procuring all necessary data for design development, discussing design projects with Sales representatives, and selecting appropriate designs. The designer will formulate and communicate ideas for new and/or improved designs by analyzing customer needs and production feasibility, using computer-aided design software to create samples, and processing samples on the cutting table. Knowledge of production machine capabilities is required to assist in the development of design specifications. The role also involves assisting customer service to ensure proper plate and die ordering and securing master print cards on a timely basis.

Requirements

Four year degree with emphasis on computer aided design, CAD, and drafting, or applicable work experience.
Competent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs required.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in the corrugated packaging industry preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist customer service to insure proper plate and die ordering and master print card are secured on a timely basis.
