About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Entry-Level Automotive Technician to join our service team. This role is ideal for individuals who have completed automotive training or have some hands-on experience and are looking to build their careers in automotive repair and maintenance. The technician will perform routine vehicle inspections, maintenance services, and basic repairs while working under the guidance of experienced technicians and following dealership and manufacturer standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive systems, tools, and repair procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive vocational training, technical school certification, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Entry-level ASE certifications or willingness to obtain certifications.
  • Manufacturer training coursework is a plus.
  • State inspection or emissions certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
  • Assist with diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues under the supervision of senior technicians.
  • Complete repair and maintenance work accurately and efficiently according to dealership and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain necessary parts and materials.
  • Inspect vehicles and identify recommended maintenance or safety-related repairs.
  • Notify the Service Advisor of additional repair needs or any delays in completing assigned work.
  • Document all services performed and recommendations on repair orders.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Road test vehicles when necessary and authorized.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
