Entry Level Scientist- Viral Clearance

Eurofins•Lancaster, PA
•Onsite

About The Position

Eurofins Scientific’s Viral Clearance Services team assesses whether biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes can remove or inactivate potential viral contaminants. Testing is designed to satisfy ICH Q5A guidelines and generally measures the presence or absence of virus plaque-forming units, comparing the initial virus titer with the amount remaining in the product-containing fraction after purification. The difference is reported as a Log Reduction Value. Team members perform virus plaque assays, manipulate cell cultures, dilute virus samples, and help clients conduct viral clearance studies by spiking product intermediates with virus. They may also perform client purification processes, prepare and propagate virus stocks, and operate laboratory instrumentation. The role includes completing training, working with an experienced analyst or mentor on analyses of biopharmaceutical ingredients and products, preparing or reviewing standards and samples, operating equipment independently or with guidance, and reviewing data for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with GMP and/or GLP regulations. This is a full-time, first-shift position, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is not remote. Candidates within commuting distance of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, are encouraged to apply; relocation assistance is not provided. Travel of up to 25% may be required.
