Position Summary The Sales Representative plays a critical role in driving revenue growth for Universal Electrical Service by developing new business opportunities and managing the full sales lifecycle—from lead generation through project closing. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, relationship-focused, and eager to learn the commercial and industrial construction industry.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

  • Familiarity with commercial and industrial electrical terminology is a plus
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a strong, active sales pipeline
  • Generate new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, and prospecting efforts
  • Develop and maintain relationships within commercial and industrial construction markets
  • Execute and continuously improve lead generation strategies
  • Manage the full sales process, including project negotiations and closing opportunities
  • Prepare and submit proposals, bids, estimates, and customer documentation in a timely manner
  • Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry functions to represent the company
  • Participate in site visits, bid meetings, and project scoping activities, including inspecting and photographing job sites
  • Solicit, review, and analyze project documents, drawings, and specifications
  • Follow up on outstanding RFPs, proposals, and estimates
  • Achieve or exceed monthly sales activity and revenue goals within assigned territories
  • Manage all sales activities within assigned territories
  • Build and maintain a strong customer base
  • Collaborate with company leadership to establish and achieve sales goals
  • Participate in quarterly performance reviews
  • Analyze and improve sales processes to increase effectiveness and efficiency
  • Support the development and maintenance of sales reporting systems
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction throughout all interactions
