About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking an Entry-Level Safety Specialist to join the Boeing Commercial Airplanes’ (BCA) team in Everett, WA. This role is for an energetic, curious, and people-minded professional to join their network of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) experts. The position involves solving problems, collaborating across different teams, and focusing on workplace safety. The specialist will be on the ground, building relationships, learning from mentors, and contributing to the safety culture. A learner’s mindset, proactivity, adaptability, and the ability to see projects through from start to finish are valued.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related science field.
  • Hands-on experience or coursework in spotting workplace hazards, running safety inspections, and understanding regulations.
  • Participation in accident or near-miss investigations (internship experience counts!) to find root causes and suggest solutions.
  • Exposure to performing health and safety risk assessments or participating in audits.
  • Experience writing clear instructions, documentation, or project improvements.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a safety-related field (Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Toxicology, Bio-Engineering, Public Health, etc.).
  • Experience working with risk management, regulatory and compliance topics.
  • Experience performing health and safety risk assessments, developing and managing safety programs, and performing audits.
  • Experience developing and implementing process improvements.
  • Must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate Safety Professional, Associate Safety Professional, Certified Safety Professional, or Certified Industrial Hygienist certification.

Responsibilities

  • Support and Shape: Help plan, roll out, and evaluate next-generation Occupational Health and Safety programs.
  • Create and Innovate: Draft clear, modern health and safety guides that reduce risk and ensure compliance.
  • Investigate and Solve: Dive into safety incidents and customer complaints to determine causes and implement solutions.
  • Audit and Assess: Conduct routine walk-throughs and audits of health and safety protocols to ensure smooth operation.
