With this posting, we will be filling openings in sawmill production, planer production, and plant utility! This position pays $26.38/hr to start. Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be available to work any shift, including nights and weekends.
  • Must have a solid work history; industrial experience is a plus.
  • Must attach a current resume to the application.
  • Be able to work in dusty and noisy conditions, work from heights, and in confined/restricted areas.
  • Be able to lift 2-20 pounds regularly, climb steps and ladders, and stand or work up to 3 hours at a time for up to 8-10 hours.
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and physical. (This position is designated by WY as a safety-sensitive position. Please be advised that due to the designation, you will be subject to pre-employment testing for cannabis and its metabolites.)

Responsibilities

  • Run all components and equipment associated with your respective machine center; Monitor your respective machine center operation and functions and troubleshoot problems that occur.
  • Monitor upstream and downstream operations.
  • Follow procedures during an upset condition.
  • Correct cross-ups and jams on infeed and outfeed.
  • Keep your work area clean and clear of safety hazards.
  • Operate a forklift.
  • Downtime clean-up at major machine centers; Use shovel, broom, and/or equipment to clean up work areas; Keep work areas clean and clear of safety hazards during runtime.
  • Fire-watch during maintenance activities.
  • Provide coverage at various operating positions across the site.
  • Perform quality system checks, flow to process bottlenecks, provide training support and assist with upset conditions.
  • Wear all safety equipment and obey all safety rules.
  • Participate in safety initiatives, including exhibiting safe work practices and helping others work safely.
  • Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and maintain good attendance.
  • Willing and able to learn new jobs and skills, flow to work while treating all employees with respect.
