About The Position

Shaw Industries is hiring Entry Level Manufacturing associates. Applicants will be considered for several manufacturing roles: Winder, Burn In Operator, Creeler/Burn In, SewOn Operator, and Air Entangling Operator. Duties vary by assignment and include loading yarn packages onto equipment, burning in and creeling yarn during beam changes, maintaining creel racks and splicing yarn ends, sewing carpet rolls together at the finishing line, and loading filament yarn onto an Air Entanglement machine. Responsibilities and physical requirements will be discussed during the interview. Responsibilities

Load packages of single or plied yarn onto the carousel of a Back winder machine.
Burn in yarn during a beam change and creel yarn to keep machines operating.
Keep creel racks full of yarn and splice yarn ends together in the designated pattern to support efficient Warper operation.
Sew rolls of carpet together at the front of the finishing line and maintain an ample carpet supply for coating.
Load packaged filament yarn, including nylon, polypropylene, and polyester, onto an Air Entanglement machine.
