About The Position

Amcor is currently searching for individuals to join our Oshkosh production plants. These positions are on a day or night shift (5-5, or 5:30-5:30) 2-2-3 12-hour shift schedule, where employees will have every other weekend off. Work just 3 or 4 days a week and shift schedules provided a whole calendar year in advance! COMPENSATION: $22.43 + $1.20/hour night shift premium available + 1.5x pay on Sundays! Previous manufacturing experience a plus, not required
Knowledgeable and able to understand a computer and programs
Possess adequate math, measurement, and reading skills

Required to have visual acuity to perform visual inspection including the use of measurement devices and ability to identify and distinguish colors
Ability to interact effectively and professionally with others in a team environment
Ability to lift up to 50-60 lbs
Willing and able to stand and walk for a 12 hour shift
Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting
Frequent use of wrist and hands
Frequent stepping up and down from platforms

Responsibilities

Make sure that all plates returned to the making/mounting area are clean, this includes cleaning the plate cylinders
Maintain the gear-up room in clean condition and place gears in proper location
Familiarize and understand the complete operation of the computer system for distillation to washing machine parts
Assist the press crew by cleaning decks, changing cylinders, and other tasks as needed to bring press back into production
Properly complete all documentation and paperwork, including but not limited to, job check off sheets, cleaning logs, etc.
Work on the presses as workloads and schedules dictate
Check with supervisor to find out where help is needed
All other duties as assigned by management and supervisors
Wrap, label, and palletize finished slit rolls from all Rewinder lines in accordance with customers’ requests
Operate pallet jack, forklift, and tilt lock in a safe and efficient manner
Clean compactor room, empty dumpsters, sweep, other housekeeping duties as assigned
Load pallets with film and put them on a pallet lift
Load film on a stretch wrapper, label and remove wrapped pallet
