About The Position

Working as a full-time Entry-Level Machinist, you will set up and operate multiple pieces of equipment, including saws, threading machines, bending machines, and other manual equipment. This is an entry-level position, and training will be provided. The role is based at Fastenal’s manufacturing facility in Houston, Texas, and is scheduled Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Be 18 years of age or older due to the nature of the work.
• Have excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
• Exhibit strong problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities.
• Be able to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Be able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Demonstrate the company’s core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork.
• Be able to lift, slide, carry, and lower packages typically weighing 25–50 pounds and up to 100 pounds.
• Pass the required drug screen in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Guam.
