About The Position

Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing a unique range of analytical testing services. This role supports a growing team by setting up and conducting experiments, preparing test solutions and diets, dosing, evaluating responses, performing necropsies, and collecting specimens. The scientist will meticulously maintain records, assist in report writing, and follow safety requirements, including the ability to safely wear a respirator.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in laboratory animal medicine, toxicology, animal science or biology is preferred, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Nice To Haves

Experience working with rats or mice is highly desired
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Responsibilities

Set-up and conduct experiments in accordance with Protocol and SOP's.
Efficiently carry out procedures necessary to complete each project with minimal supervision.
Prepare test solutions and diets in accordance with directions.
Dose, evaluate responses, perform necropsies, and collect blood, urine, fecal and tissue specimens in accordance with standard operating procedures and protocols.
Meticulously maintain precise records of all experiments in accordance with good laboratory practices.
Assist in writing of reports.
Follow all PSL safety requirements.
Ability to safely wear a respirator required.
