About The Position

The Entry Level/Express Automotive Service Technician performs vehicle maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealership and factory standards. The role focuses on accurate, efficient work that supports vehicle safety and reliability and builds customer trust and loyalty. Technicians work with customers, Service Advisors, other Technicians, Parts Associates, Cashiers, Sales Associates, and Managers at Toyota Spokane in a busy, temperature-controlled shop. The position offers paid OEM training, structured career paths, and opportunities to advance into service, sales, management, regional, or executive roles. Starting pay is $21 per hour, based on experience, training, and certifications, with eligibility for longevity and additional bonuses based on productivity, proficiency, and overrides.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record that can be maintained.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow processes to ensure quality and safety.
• Passion for cars and customer service.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as an express or quick-lube technician is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Communicate regularly with the Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience and build customer loyalty.
• Achieve targeted production and Customer Satisfaction Index goals.
