Overview
Design parts, weldments, and assemblies to meet department objectives using CAD and other software.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering required
• Must be proficient with 2-D and 3-D computerized drafting programs
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Software
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to interact with all levels of management and employees
• Candidate must pass pre-employment background check, drug-screen, and physical agility test

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Fire Fighting preferred, but not required
• Engineering internship or previous engineering work experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Works with Production, Engineering, Machine Shop, and Sales, to interpret design requirements, determine detail required, and coordinate design.
• Resolves design issues
• Uses CAD software to create designs, drawings, and assemblies
• Ensures design meets specifications and is able to be manufactured
• Ensures design complies with ASME standards
• Verifies parts and drawings for accuracy and completeness
• Organization of drawing files for complex assemblies
• Process documentation
• Performs other assignments under direction of supervisor or manager
