About The Position
We are seeking an Entry-Level Engineer / Associate Construction Project Manager to join our Batesville team. This position is designed for an individual interested in developing a career in civil engineering and civil construction, with opportunities for growth into an Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, and/or Estimator role.
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of experience in civil construction, engineering, estimating, or a related field; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both field and office personnel.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Willingness to learn construction processes, estimating, project management, and related software.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Support estimating staff with basic quantity takeoffs and estimating activities.
- Assist with project scheduling and preconstruction administrative processes.
- Assist with material submittals, approvals, and related documentation.
- Assist with the Request for Information (RFI) process and tracking.
- Track project scope, schedules, budgets, and project documentation.
- Assist with monitoring project progress and identifying potential issues.
- Coordinate communication and information between field personnel and management.
- Assist project managers, engineers, and estimators with day-to-day project needs.
- Learn and utilize construction software, including Trimble Business Center and HCSS HeavyBid/HeavyJob.
- Visit project sites as needed to support project management and construction activities.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
