Greenway is currently seeking a dependable and motivated Entry-Level Automotive Quick Lube Technician to join our growing service team. Greenway has been family-owned and serving Morris and the surrounding communities since 1967. Previous professional automotive experience is helpful but not required. Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check and drug screening
  • Basic computer and typing skills
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow repair procedures and safety instructions
  • Ability to work around automotive fluids, fumes, dirt, equipment, and cleaning chemicals
  • Willingness to work in varying temperatures and occasional inclement weather

Responsibilities

  • Perform oil and filter changes, tire rotations, lubrication services, and other routine vehicle maintenance.
  • Complete thorough bumper-to-bumper multipoint vehicle inspections according to dealership and manufacturer standards.
  • Inspect tires, brakes, filters, belts, fluid levels, and other essential vehicle components.
  • Replace tires, brakes, filters, and other basic maintenance items when qualified and assigned.
  • Check and top off fluids as needed.
  • Lubricate and grease applicable moving components.
  • Perform manufacturer-recommended maintenance and other basic services assigned by management.
  • Identify maintenance needs and document service recommendations based on inspection results and manufacturer service intervals.
  • Complete all assigned work accurately, efficiently, and according to dealership and factory quality standards.
  • Communicate required parts and materials clearly with the Parts Department.
  • Properly document completed work and inspection findings on each repair order.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Follow all dealership policies, safety procedures, environmental requirements, and codes of conduct.
  • Participate in available factory and in-house training programs.
  • Work cooperatively with technicians, service advisors, parts personnel, and management.
  • Perform other service-related duties as assigned.
